Wiring harness/kit for MIK SG ???

Just saw you are in Australia. I'm in the US, so your sources probably aren't going to work for me, haha. Thanks for the tip on the tone pot -- I'll give it a try this weekend.

Wiring harness/kit for MIK SG ???

I buy the kit because I'm not exactly sure which pots to buy, or where to buy them. A few years ago I think I tried to source components for a strat, but by the time I added everything up just buying the unassembled kit off ebay was the same price. Anyway, if you have a source for parts I...

Wiring harness/kit for MIK SG ???

Thanks much. I'll pull one of the pots tonight and measure the hole, that way I'll know for sure. I suspected that the shafts were smaller in diameter than US pots, but I did not know about the spline difference. I guess it makes sense though - smaller circumference = fewer splines...

    Another New One!

Beautiful guitar. Very classy with the ebony fingerboard.

Wiring harness/kit for MIK SG ???

I just bought a MIK SG that has disintegrating electronics so I want to put in all new. Can anyone comment on this kit? https://www.ebay.com/itm/195192564206 I was looking at this kit, but the above is all prewired for only $10 more https://www.ebay.com/itm/303109653716 Do the knobs on these...

    I need your opinion’s. Help!

As far as my preferences go, neither of those Special colors do much for me. I just can't get past the metallic sheen in the paint. Honestly I like the looks of your red Classic better than either of these two. If I were making the decision I would keep the Classic. Sorry that probably...

Does this look legit? MIK SG

The title and description were all wrong, and just a copy/paste from another website. The guitar was actually a 1996 made in Korea SG. The seller pulled the listing "because there was an error in the listing." Not relisted so far...

Does this look legit? MIK SG

I got a counter offer on the 96 MIK, but I dunno. The changed knob and changed tuner minus bushing put me off. Makes me wonder what happened to it for those two things to be changed. If I could see it in hand and have everything else look ok then I would have no problem, but I'd hate to get it...

Does this look legit? MIK SG

Yeah, I've looked at that one several times too over the past couple of weeks. I really like the worn brown with the fretboard binding, but kind of have my heart set on a gloss cherry red.

Does this look legit? MIK SG

The reason I was wondering about the tuners is to see if they were right for the time period, which would increase my confidence that this guitar is what I think it is. Anyway, I made an offer so I'll see what happens.

Does this look legit? MIK SG

Thanks much guys. What do you make of the unbranded tuners? My buddy loaned me his 2000 MIK and it has the "€" logos, and I think I've seen others with "Epiphone Deluxe" on them. Were the tuners of this vintage unbranded? Edit: just saw a 1996 from a sold Reverb listing and the tuners are...

Does this look legit? MIK SG

I was thinking about making an offer on this, but I want to be sure it's what I think it is. Looks like a 1996 MIK SG. The description is a copy/paste from the Sam Ash website for the Ep 60s SG. The tuners on this guitar are unmarked, except for one that is a Gibson Deluxe. Also, in the pic...

    1997 Korean Epiphone G400 w/ EMG pups

Wow, really nice wood on that one all the way around! I've been gassing for one of these MIK SGs ever since a friend loaned me his. I would gladly give 230€ for one. In the US, people are asking $350-$500.

I’m Thinking About Getting Another SG!

Looks wise I love the black Custom. A Special with P90s would give you a different tonal palette than an SG with humbuckers, but so would some of the others already mentioned with the push/pull pots for single coil. I wonder how different the Prophesy sounds, with the maple cap. Maybe more...
