What pups did my SG come equipped with?

Those would have been Gibson (T-Top ) Humbuckers from back then. Check out this excellent website for more information. (Thanks to forum member @PermissionToLand for putting it together!) https://solidguitar.fandom.com/wiki/SG_Standard#1966%E2%80%931971 Btw, wouldn’t it be a good idea to have...

Years of grease/polish on nitrocellulose finish

Here's what I wanted to post above. :D Too late to edit my post, it seems... Did you try some lighter fluid @Terrence ? I've used Virtuoso cleaner on all of my guitars with excellent results; (including my highly checked 63 Junior) although I see in your first post that they didn't...

    Where Is Mick Taylor's SG?

So, it was the mob that had "sticky fingers" then?

    Where Is Mick Taylor's SG?

Mick has an account on Facebook. Why not reach out to him and ask him? (I would, but I'm not on any social media) https://m.facebook.com/micktaylorofficial

1968 SG Junior - what to do with this one?

Edit: The pots and caps are in the mail. I sent you four Dr. Vintage (CTS made) 500k pots instead. This way you'll have a complete Dr. Vintage setup. (pots and caps) Your 1968 SG would have originally had CTS pots, so it's a proper alternative. Enjoy!

1968 SG Junior - what to do with this one?

Hey @Soultrain. I love what you're planning to do to your old sg! I'd be willing to donate some slightly used vipots to your project, if you want? I've got a full set of four 550k. I'll throw in a pair of nos Dr. Vintage .022 PIO tone caps too. Just pm me if you want them.

I’m looking for a ‘67 SG Standard (Gibson) nut

I've heard good things about this seller. He's a member of the mylespaul forum, I believe. He has a few listing with different string spacings. If I needed a new nut, I'd probably go with him. https://www.ebay.com/itm/323709521531?hash=item4b5e974e7b:g:zvgAAOSwK~RaD5-o

    Thoughts on this old one...

I don't know. That's one ugly headstock repair, and I doubt I'd get along with the reshaped neck. Super thin! Also, other than the wood, nothing else seems to be from 1965. Why not just get a reissue? Probably much better off...

New to me 69 sg special

Congrats! Btw, that might be the original case. Sure, lots of original owners purchased these guitars with the cheap chipboard cases, but they had the option to fork out for a plush case, if they wanted....

Talisman has been sold. Still have a very cool and great sounding 1979 silver screw ds-1. :io:

FS: Vintage Boss DS-1,CE-2 and Catalinbread Talisman plate reverb

Now, who wants a well-played and great sounding early DS-1, or a virtually un-played Talisman EMT 140 plate reverb pedal? :naughty:
