    Les Paul?

Fender should make a Mary Kaye Strat. Back in the early 80ies I played a Tokai in see - through white (with a very slight touch of pink) and gold hardware. I thought I've never played a more beautiful guitar. Tried to trade in it for a slightly messed up LP Custom (with a DiMarzio X2N at the...

    Epiphone SG Les Paul Custom

I would look at the bridge/stop tail first. I have 2 epis - sg400 and lp - and replaced the stock hardware with abm parts. The guitars lost the muddyness, overtones come more to the front and string separation improved quite a bit. Abm stuff isn't cheap but I found it worthwhile as it got me a...

    Replacement tuners on Norlin 73.

I mix graphite with machine oil and dip a toothpick into it whenever I change the strings. The oil makes it easier for me to apply the graphite to the notches. The tuners are standard Gibson Deluxe, that some consider worthy to be upgraded because they seemingly won't hold the pitch. Since I...

Is this Gibson SG fake or real?

Should you buy it.... :naughty: I would, these are good guitars the way they are (set up right, of course) and a good modding platform as well.

Is this Gibson SG fake or real?

Hi there! I bought a new 2016 SG Faded T with photo, checklist, date of final examination in handwriting etc., in late October 2017. It's got the same serial number outlay as yours and the "2016 MODEL" stamp beneath "MADE IN USA" Tried to upload pics but the page tells me they're too big. So I...

Help choosing an SG on Reverb

Allthough I have a faded that, to me, has turned out to be the most inspiring hb guitar I've ever played (after modding it) the standard seems to be a good offer, provided that nothing structural is wrong with it. Fadeds will "age" quickly, show where your arm rests etc. If you don't like that...

Never replaced pickup in my Sg before

Marino quacked his SG up with single coils and you can't argue with him having a great tone, string spacing aside, but my experience with replacing hb bridge pickups is that f-spaced pups don't align strings that well with Gibson bridges unless you slot the bridges yourself. Other guys may have...

F spaced is for Fenders. You don't want that on an SG.
