I’m seriously considering getting an Epiphone SG Modern Figured. I’ve read all about it and it sounds very impressive. I’m so impressed with my new SG that I want another one. What do you all think about my choice? I was also looking at the custom. I like it too.

I have to agree with you. I tend to wear a guitar a little on the high side so it really doesn’t dive much. I’m kinda old school about that. lol. I just can’t play one slung low.

Yeah, you all are right. I would really have to give it some thought. You may have to file a little off the horn tip or not I don’t know. I’m not really comfortable with that kind of wood work. I don’t mind neck dive so much. I can handle that okay. I just would rather the guitar not fall away...

I put new tuning machines on my new SG. They are the Kluson Revolution tuners. I had to drill the holes out to 25/64” but after that they fit perfectly. I have never messed with press in bushings like the ones that were on the original tuners so I knocked them out from the back with a small...

Has anyone ever moved the strap button on the back of your SG to the under side of the top body horn? I read that Tony Iomi does that.

Well, I have been trying to find something wrong with my new 1961 Les Paul sg Standard since I got it. I just got around to checking the nut height because I haven’t noticed a problem down there but the nut height isn’t something that’s usually very accurate. Especially on lower priced guitars...

I’ve had it a couple of weeks now and I haven’t found anything wrong or that I didn’t like. I bought a set of the Kluson locking tuners for it. That’s the only thing that I want to change. I love locking tuners and they’re supposed to be a direct replacement for the stock one’s.

I can certainly relate to your heat and humidity problems my friend. I live close to Birmingham, Alabama and it seems like the humidity is always high. And right now the heat is trying to set records! It just takes so much work to try and protect all of your guitars. And I just have a few!
