All sorts of stuff and simplifying the fingering sounds good to me. I've got my guitar tuned to DADGAD and have been nurdling around. Trying some finger placements and seeing how things sound. Maybe I should learn some diatonic chords in the key of D next. But for now I like what's sounding...
I bought this as back up just in case the current one (that I made an amateurish attempt to fix) bails out on me. So far so good though.

I play through a Vox Mini 5 modeller amp and it gives me enough sound choices between Hank Marvin and Sabbath. The on board effects are quite good so I don't use pedals. 8 type of effect....but I can only use a maximum of 2 of them simultaneously.
I'm from Scotland and still see myself as being Scottish. And Scrogshaw is my online name. Apologies if I have used a Yorkshire name. I never in my wildest dreams did I think that Scrogshaw was a real surname. But I might have a hint of a Yorkshire accent......if that helps.;)
I used the edge of the wifes best metal nail file. It would have been perfect if I was working on the low E or A string slot......but just a little too wide for the G. :facepalm:

How much relief do you lads n lasses have in your necks. I thought I was a pretty straight sort of feller....but thinking of putting a bit more on mine because I think it might make strings ring out/sustain more. I like to play through clean amp with reverb.
