SG Melody Maker routed for a P-90. It’s basically a Junior now.
They used to be dirt cheap used because the original single coil pickup(s) were lower output and less desirable to the masses.
A friend recently X’d new redbacks and creambacks in a 4x12. They sound good together but I wouldn’t want either by itself.
My ears get fatigued from Vintage 30’s and the creamback doesn’t sound far off from that, imo. Warmer but still annoying mids.

That was nearly 30%. They haven’t raised the Junior yet. They’ll probably leave the higher prices alone and raise the lower ones. Strategy, they don’t want to raise everything at once.
The lower button used to eventually dig a hole into the hard case padding before newer cases with a gap in the lower button area. They ship new with a foam rubber plug in that area. There still isn’t much room there but I guess the body would take most of the force in a drop versus the older...
Their Reverb listing says the frets are low but playable. It’s been up 18 days with no offers.
It will cost them more to sell it online so
their bottom dollar for a local sale might be around $3600. Now subtract a fret job and a real case and you’re back to $3k...
