Hi all ,
I'm brand new to the forum - Happy to be here.
I have decided to install a short flange vibrola on my 2011 50th anniversary Pete Townshend model SG Special (pictured below) that I've decided to install a short flange vibrola on. I already have the vibrola from CrazyParts in Germany...
Does anyone here know of a list of players that are well known for their vibrola use? I know of many players that have a vibrola but rarely, if ever, touch it. I'm sure there are several that I'm drawing a blank on.
Hi!
I'm restoring my SG and I would like to install a long vibrola tailpiece that I found at a good price, but which doesn't have the engraved logo on the cover plate.
Can anyone provide me a vector file with the artwork of the lyre and Gibson's logo to engrave the cover plate?
Thanks
Hello everyone, I'm new here since I got my first Epiphone SG last week.
I'm still a beginner but after the neck of my first Harley Benton SG had a weird angle I decided to get something nice without spending too much money.
After trying out the a couple of the new inspired by gibson line in a...
I was gonna buy this one in a local shop. I found out it had a dying tone on 14th fret, D string and the Vibrola was fixed about 2-3 mm out of the center, so the strings would be in a funny angle.
The price tag of about 2000 USD was a bit to high to come with glitches like that, and so i...
Hey there fellows, first time posting.
I’ve been noticing everybody complains about maestro tremolo tuning stability and talking about roller bridges and all those mods.
Well, I’ve been recording an album and I got the guitar because I really felt it would give that shine I wanted (and it...
Hey all I recently bought a vibrola for my epiphone SG special. Just wondering if anyone had any tips on fitting? And if anyone had experience or pictures of the special with a vibrola.
Thank you everyone
Hi all.
I am an SG owner (Classic with TV jones and Kinman P90 neck +Bigsby), but I'm posting to ask for some help with my Flying V. I think this forum has a good dose of knowledge on vibrolas, plus it's full of helpful people, so hopefully I'll get lucky.
Anyway, the issue is that the vibrola...
Hello, a new member here and would like to ask and share some opinions on the vibrola.
I recently bought a 2001 '61 reissue that had a really awful vibrola on it. It would not play at all due to the spring sitting horizontal to the guitar so the arm was virtually resting on the body and...
I have a 2017 Gibson SG Standard. I just bought a maestro vibrola from crazyparts, but as I began to install it, I realized that there will be holes where the stud bolts were. One hole is covered enough to where it doesn't bother me, but the other is a bit of an eyesore. see pics of the hole and...

Hello everyone,
I'm new to the forum but I have been a proud Gibson SG player since 1997, when I was just a little rookie.
Now I've grown older, and over the years I've had a few guitars, but my very first "Diavoletto" ("little devil", as we call it in Italy) has always been been my main and...
Hey guys I was able to pick up a Roxy SG and I've been dumbfounded as to how to set this thing up. I adjusted the truss rod so I can have as much of a straight neck as I possibly can. There is probably a 1/64th of a gap at the 12 fret. That's as much as the nut will go before failure I feel and...
Hello all,
I have 2016 SG Faded in worn brown. It's my main guitar and I love it's vintage vibe - I'm a bit of vintage hipster in my head
I've started looking into getting a vibrato system installed onto the instrument but a little unsure where to go and after some experience.
How're the...
