2000 Special, limited edition

Not sure why Gibson chose to call this a Special, all I know is this is about the sweetest axe I've ever owned, and I've owned a shitload... not a fan of whatever pups came in it, so I dropped in a pair of gold Seymour Duncan Antiquities to match all the gold hardware. Looks perfect, sounds awesome. I tried to load a bunch of pictures but the files are all too big and I'm just too lazy to resize all of them lmao.

Name seems fitting to me. Seems how the TRC says limited addition, I might just call her Lea if it was me. Limited Edition Axe

I just got a white ‘98 SG Special last week with chrome hardware.

I was looking to replace the 490R/490T combo in the recent 2021 SG Standard that I acquired with a Duncan JB/59 combo but ended up finding the pups already installed in the ‘98 SG Special so the pups and guitar followed me home.

Had a white 2000 SG Special in the past but sold it since I had too many SG at the time. Now I have the ‘98 and it feels so familiar. This one is a keeper.

Yeah I saw your post , I think it was last week, of the white special you just picked up. I've been wanting a white one and your post pushed me over the edge lmao. Mine has the gold hardware so the gold Duncans were perfect for it. Big wide neck but not too thick, so it feels super comfortable. I haven't been able to put it down.

i have a 95 special limited. it has an ebony board and 57 classics in it. it even says sg57 in the pickup cavities. very nice guitar.
