Wow, didn't know the old man was going to get a bashing for sharing a story.......

Here's the guitar as it sits now, I'm waiting on the recessed nut to finish installing the harness, pups are ready to go in......

I'll post a pic when it's all together......

Naaah No bashing here my man. We do love pics, and you don't post a lot, so we thought you'd split on us again. Kick off your shoes stay awhile.

We only tease the ones we like. She's purty!

*People are skeptical, ask for pics*
*People decide you're gone and start ribbing you*
*OP posts detailed pics*
This is the part, Stagekraft, that you drop the proverbial mic.

Great story. Man, I sure wish something like that would happen to me...

That wiring harness looks great! The body does look a little rough, but it looks like some gentle but consistent buffing could bring a nice shine back out on it.

Sorry guys, I'm not much of a talker, more a listener, only talk when I got something meaningful to say.....
So I guess the same holds true here, I read a lot of posts (listen), but only post (talk), when I got something to share.
Doesn't mean I'm Gone, you just don't see me......

Need another amp first - just sold my ID core 10 on ebay! Thought I'd have the chance to get a new one before it went...

Could there be a Katana in my future...? :D

Well guys, two steps forward, one step back.......

I got if buffed out to a bit of a shine, finished installing the pups, then strung it up.
I left the back cover and knobs off until I had a chance to plug it in and check it.

Plugged it in and everything worked as it should, so I went to push the knobs on, and every one I pushed on, pushed the pots apart inside.......

Now, I've been dealing with electronics for 35+ years, and I've never had pots do this from pushing on a knob.....
And they are CTS pots, I'll have to reassemble each one and solder down the little tabs.

Here's the new Klusons.....

And the pots.....

I haven't heard of that being a thing before either. Inch spec knobs? Not the Metric ones?

Same "Speed" knobs I had on the old pots, while they were not CTS, they were your basic "standard size" pot, I wouldn't think they would be 6mm.....
Although I gotta get me some "Top Hat" knobs to make it look more period correct.........

I didn't destroy the pots, just bent the little tabs that hold the bushing to the shell, like the shells are made of thinner metal than they use to be.....
Like I said, I'll solder them tabs down, that will make them solid.

Good looking SG there stagecraft. I like your philosophy of not talking unless you have something to say. Two thumps up, one for the SG and one for the philosophy. Some of us here might be better guitar players if our fingers spent as much time on the fretboard as they do on the keyboard.
