I've seen a couple of ads on my local Craigslist looking to sell their SG style Galaxy F-24s, one as a "custom shop" model. Looks like they sell new for about $1,500 list. Very Iommi inspired with the cross inlays, laminated fretboard and Kahler tremolo. Just wondering if anyone has any experience with one and your opinion of their quality.

Here's the website if you've never heard of them:

It's funny, there are no listings that pop up on Reverb, not even if you just put in a generic search like "Galaxy guitar."

Thanks all!

Cool looking Guitars. I like the red one. But it's still not a Gibson......
Hmm. Maybe that's a good thing LOL. I think I rather have a Gibson.

Yeah, the thing that throws me are those oversized horns, which I assume are there to avoid getting sued by Gibson.

that website looks pretty sketchy
It looks like it was created in the nineties, definitely, but, i would assume, these little boutique guitar builders just need it to function and once its up they don't mess with it. The weird thing is that people obviously buy them, but no one seems to talk about them.

Ha! Already own a ridiculous amount of Gibsons and have a Jaydee Custom on order. This was just an exercise of pure curiosity, that maybe someone owned one, loves (or regrets) it and would be willing to share their story.
Yo Dude, may I ask how you think the Galaxy stacks up to, say, the 2017 or 2018 SG Standards ? The 2017 & 2018 SG Standards were really BAD-A$$ Guitars (Best SG's of the decade, IMO) ! I got a 2017 and its the best SG Standard I ever played ! I wish I had bought 3 of them.....2017 SG Standards have '57's w/Locking Grovers STOCK: $1299 ALL-IN !! the 2018's have the '61R & T's in them (Alnico 5's?) w/Locking TM's....both years were just GREAT years for SG Standards....Man, those days are long gone !Too Bad Too !

I've never heard of ,nor played, one of those Galaxy Guitars be4 this thread popped up! They actually put polyurethane on the fretboard ? That is exactly what Tony Iommi did w/Monkey and the entire lot of the guitars he has listed on his website.T.I. has a Black SG CUSTOM that is just awesome looking, w/DC Diamond HStock In-lays...HOT DAMN ! But, IDT I ever heard him play it though !

Yeah, I never heard of these guitars either until a couple of them popped up on Las Vegas Craigslist out here. Never heard one played either, that is why I stared the thread out of curiosity to see if anyone had ever played or had an opinion about these guitars. Glad you love your Standards, sometimes they're hard to beat.

Wow, Thats harsh, but pretty funny ! I have that Jubilee cabinet its sitting in front of !(if its the stereo one!).
I had a “1960 Stereo” 4-12. It had a vertical interior partition down the center making 2 2-12’s. As far as I know, it was only made in 1989.
Each side had 2 16ohm G12T-75’s wired in parallel for 8ohms per side. 1 input for left and 1 input for right, no switch. It was great for a dual mono power amp. If you bounce the signal left and right with a delay and or chorus, it might make you dizzy.
To use it for 1 amp, it was 4ohms total and two speaker outs from the amp.
