Bad Reverb seller and no support from Reverb

Sorry you had an issue....but you can't assume a used pedal comes with an adapter. It's irrelevant if it had one originally. The ad either said it came with one, or it didn't. Period. That's just how used stuff works, anywhere...not just Reverb specific.

Working through a similar experience with Reverb. Bought a PRS SE Santana that the seller advertised as "Mint condition with a perfect setup!". The nut was trashed, the frets were rusty, and the pots were scratchy. I sent him photos and he said it was impossible - like I was trying to set him up. And this is after I waited an extra two weeks for USPS to lose and find the guitar without requesting a refund (which I could have within Reverb's T&Cs). Not a guy I would trust to process a refund. I replaced the nut and cleaned the pots, NBD... good lesson that buying gear is still "buyer beware"!

Unfortunately it seems to be the trend for pedals to not use batteries anymore and it's assumed everyone has a 1 Spot with a daisy chain ready to go. That being said, unless it needs a very particular power supply, it might be less hassle to just invest in something along the lines of the 1 Spot to avoid worrying about power supplies in the future.

It does need a particular power supply. 9.6v Vs 9v

this is a tough one. most of the newer EHX pedals require an external power supply.

HOWEVER.... I don't think that power supply is always included with the pedal as a new item. used? you're on your own.

The listing is the key thing. Did that listing say the power supply was included? Did you specifically ask if a power supply was included?

The prevailing assumption is that pretty much everyone has at least 1, if not more, multi-pedal power supplies lying around.

If the pedal is one you really want/need and you got a good price..... I'd say you're better off dealing with it.

"Buyer beware" wasn't put out there for nothing...
Many used items are just the hardware, not the things to hook them up with...no battery compartment ? Wasn't made that way...
