I just got a pelham blue 2017 sg standard and I would like to put some cream colored plastics on it to approach the look of the jeff tweedy sg. Where is a good place to get a cream colored single ply pickguard and tenon cover? and I need humbucker rings too!

I found creamtone and they said theyd build some for me custom, but their prices are looking to be over $100 for some plastics!

Id appreciate some input here guys as I'm brand new to SG's!

Welcome to ETSG, and good luck with your project!

Check with Pickguardian.com and see. You would send your current pick guard to them and
they would make one that fit. I think you can call this outfit and talk to a real person, and so the
price you pay is worth it. They might be less than what you've already been quoted. They might not.

Wolftoes- Maybe try searching reverb before you double post two huge page consuming posts that are not even close to answering the questions- all reverb has are humbucker rings- no cream tenon cover, no cream pickguard. so please delete your double posts

I guess I could have been more specific by saying that yeh pickup rings are easy. a cream small guard sg guard and tenon cover are more difficult. and yes i know WD has some, but i Ordered a mint green strat guard from WD one time and it was totally ugly. it was lime green, not even close to a fender mint green. and still they dont have tenon covers of any kind.

i guess the idea would be to get them all from the same place so I can ensure they match as in my experience these places have wildly different ideas of what different colors are.

and besides all that- finding a tenon cover at all has been surprisingly difficult. especially in cream.

and regarding humbucker rings- wouldnt an SG take different humbucker rings than a carved top Les Paul where the bridge and neck are different sized rings with curves to match the top of a les paul? i really cant find many places that differentiate a les paul set of rings from an SG or jr type guitar. maybe I'm wrong and SG's take the same ring sets as LP's?

pickguardian looks pretty legit- they dont actually list cream as a color option- i guess it could be one of the "etc..." colors. Anyone have any experience with them?

and come to think of it... i may actually be looking for a parchment colored plastics. a lot of creams im seeing look way too yellow for my liking.

Id love to hear someones experience with pickguardian!

I believe the rings are the same. Didn't mean to double post, I'm new here. The rings I saw on Reverb said Gibson SG/Les Paul.

Regarding my posts, I only posted 2 sentences, trying to help. I can't help that the website posts the whole novel of the post before it. :)

Except Les Paul uses rings with a curved bottom and SG uses rings with a flat bottom (ask me how I know).
