What’s the electric hanging above your SV20H?I’ve been very much enjoying my 64 Reissue and had been checking out a Junior at my local L&M. After a few trips back and forth, I finally caved and grabbed it. Well, an SG with a single P90 blew me away, but I also really love the punch of a neck P90, so I grabbed a 63 Reissue Special, too!
So now I have a trio…
Now that I’ve got them, I can say they are different enough to have both. The Special is a little more refined and that neck pickup is sweet, while the Junior is a straight rock beast. I’ve got it in open G right now for some Black Crowes and Stones tunes we’re playing. It sounds great!
Maybe it is "I need another SG to partake of the entire sonic range of this fine instrument." Just a thought.

Indeed, the Inverness Green SG model could sound slightly more, say, Scottish, than the more sedate Pelham Blue model, it's all about sublety and nuance.
It’s a very nice guitar. It has the fattest neck of all of my electric guitars, so sometimes takes a while to adapt when I first grab it, but it plays really well. The pickups are Vineham Old Dog P90s and they sound great through my Marshalls and my Fender. Obviously not as comfortable to ply as an SG, but it’s a sweet guitar.
