Drop D

I'm a Noobie here so I'll make my introduction first.
"Hi, I'm Drop D and I'm an SG addict". Oh wait, an SG addiction is a good thing! Anyway, I'm 38 and used to play years ago in high school back in the late 80's into the early 90's. I gave it up along with my alpine white Gibson SG Les Paul (with the 3 pickups). I never knew what a prize I had there until recently. Guitar playing went the wayside when college got underway and interests went elsewhere.
Two years ago I got back into playing. I picked up a real deal at Guitar Center on a Platnium series SG in Sunset Orange. It was damn ugly to start out but I made some upgrades, including a set of Tony Iommi pick-ups. This thing really turned out nice!
Last year I was looking around to replace that 1987 white SG I had. Yikes!!! I should've never let it go, the current custom shop versions are thousands of $$$! Hindsight is 20/20...
Instead I "settled" on a 2005 '61 Re-Issue. I love it! It's not settling at all, it gets a lot of fondling 8)
