It takes a very special mentality to miss the point so dramatically. Thank you for responding to my rant, but obviously you haven't watched the Epiphone factory video. The last time I looked China was still Communist. As such i don't think they have labor unions. Besides, those remarks were only to present a possible scenario to illustrate a point. Sorry it eluded you.
I didn't miss the point that "Gibson isn't the only company making nice guitars" - even setting aside the obvious (Fender, etc.), and just looking at 'Gibson-style' guitars, it's actually been so obvious to me since the 1970s that I can't see the point in commenting. If there was another point lurking in there somewhere, then maybe try expressing it a bit more clearly, without the Epiphone employee sweat shop factory sub plot.
Yes, I have watched the video of the American boss showing the world the Epiphone factory - and do you really think that's what a sweat shop looks like? Seriously?
If you don't want people to point out the nonsensical nature of your words, just make your point without the nonsense.
Could it possibly happen that disgruntled employees from Epiphone open their own Chinese sweat shop guitar factory and start turning out Epiphone quality SG's with Gibson on the headstock.
