Happy NGD for Me - Les Paul Standard 60s

Standard 60s. It has a Seymour Duncan custom shop Greeny pickup in the neck and a Gibson DC high gain from an AJ Standard in the bridge. Tuners are also pulled from an AJ standard.

To be honest, I don't think it takes the #1 spot from my SG, which just fits me like a glove. But I love how different the tone, the feel, and the vibe are, and I often mix it up with which guitar I'm playing on any given night. Hell, that Jackson comes down quite a bit, and for some reason, most of my guitar bros seem to grab the Strat when they come over to play. Of course they can't grab the SG because it's always in my lap. Anyway, if we count NGD as a 24 hour event, and clearly I do, then it's still a very happy NGD for this guy!

Appreciate the kind words! I bought this LP from a guy who made all of the revisions, so I couldn't tell you what the impetus for changing the knobs or tuners was. However, I can say that the new pickups are killer.
AJ Standard is abbreviated Adam Jones Standard.

The Strat with a humbucker is the only way I would ever play one of those. Single coil pickups just dont do anything for me ! Fulltone's 'OCD' pedal is made for the single coil pickup, like to hear that Strat attached to one. Looks like GIBSON did not match the cap of the Lester unless its the angle of the camera. The SG looks like the Baddest of the bunch, but I never know till its played.iss the SG a 2018 ? I'm just guessing, the 'Autumn Fade' finish that year was KILLERRR......

ayyy, thanks for the message. I have been toggling back and forth between the sg and the lp since last week. the sg is this light lithe panther that growls, yowls, and howls. hey I just made that up. it's like a 2 seat luxury sportscar that just has to go fast. the lp is a suped up cadillac that appears lumbering and unwieldy but is a rich expansively sparkling entity all to itself. it's like playing a large lion. I genuinely love them both. the sg is a 2022 with a gc/mf exclusive tobaco burst

between that and the burboun burst finish on the lp, all I'd need for the weekend is the gretsch hotbabe burst or the hamer weed burst
