this is an epiphone.

and that's why I said 24.75 or very close to it. and to measure from the nut to the 12th fret and then again from the 12th fret to the saddle break. 👍 👍 👍

Where did the OP say he is talking about an Epiphone? I don't see that in his posts.

my mistake. sorry. but it's really not important.

The key is to match the nut to the 12th fret and then 12th fret to bridge. If they match the bridge is in the right place.

That's what I was shooting for. 👍 👍

Guitar is a Gibson.
Here is the measurement at the 12'th fret (and the post seems to be double this):

are you opposed to trying a bridge with adjustable saddles? and have you eliminated the nut slots as a source of the problem?

Will probably go with the Music City bridge, and have not addressed the nut yet - will have my tech look into it.

Installed the Bridge City bridge and tuning problems on the lower part of the neck seemed to go away.
The bridge also sounded way better - more of a sparkle to the highs.
Unfortunately, when I tried to get the bass strings intonated, this is what I ended up with:

They told me they would send a replacement that would fix the issue, but the new bridge was compensated even more towards the nut - the wrong direction.
When I installed the original back on the guitar, you could hear the difference - muddy and dark compared to the other one.
(I am using their locking studs with this bridge, so maybe that's a factor?)

They say their bridge will work with non-staggered studs, but I can't see how, if the break angle is going in the wrong direction.

Yes they have 2 different models. I forgot exactly how they describe them but one for older guitars and one for nerwr guitars and they mention the years. I will be waiting to see how the next one works.

Bought the one for straight studs - didn't work.

Reached out to Gibson and asked for a new bridge, as this one has developed deep grooves from all the adjusting here and there.
I was surprised it was OK'ed earlier this week and arrived today.
I'll see what my tech can do to sort all this out.

Sounds to me like it needs a Bigsby B-5 installed.
