I obviously don't buy a new guitar every year... usually I buy only what I already know
I MUST have. Then I bond with them, get them just the way I want them, and treasure
them for a long time. If something goes wrong with one of my guitars, I fix it
and play on.
We see so many posts by guys who complain bitterly about flaws in their new guitars
but that's not my experience. These three have given great service with very few
problems. These three each sound lovely as well as being able to growl or shriek
when asked to. Each has a different and unique voice.
Each of them has a different neck shape. *shrugs
So do all my other guitars and basses. I never think about that. I just play them.
Every time I put one of my guitars down after playing for a while, it's with the
spoken or unspoken comment: "What a great guitar..."
We see so many posts by guys who complain bitterly about how they can't relate
to the neck shape of this guitar or that... it's too thin for some guys or too thick
for some other guys. It's all nonsense IMHO. A couple of millimeters of differnce...
nothing to fuss about. Different neck shapes have taught me to play with a
relaxed hand and a light touch.
I have guitars made by Gibson and Epiphone, Martin, Fender, Vox and Journey.
Each was designed by skilled engineers and made by craftspeople
...all trying to create the optimal neck shape. They are all good in their own way.
They all have different neck shapes and I just play them and enjoy them for
what each one of them is. Lucky me I guess. No complaints worth mentioning.

Sometimes.
While their feel is very similar, the three certainly differ tonally. Which is a big plus to me.
Honesty, my all-time favorite electric yet owned, out of 80+ guitars these past 40+ years, is that SG Junior.
I've owned a bunch of wonderful guitars. Including many Historics and a stock vintage 1957 Les Paul Junior for example.
There is simply something special about that Junior.
It's just a run of the mill stock 5.8 Lbs. '20 USA Junior from their "Original" series. But it's a monster!

very cool...
and interesting how the humble Junior
which was intended to be an entry level guitar
has such a following among experienced pros.
I think a Junior in the hands of a good player
(and played through the right amp with the
right EQ)
gives up nothing.
