Thought I'd take a few pics of my three cherry SGs. One's a 1961 Special, one's a Vintage, and one's a 1989 G-400.

First the 2011 50th anniversary special, with mini humbuckers replacing the P-90s:

Note the scarf joint is right up where the neck and head join on this one:

Nice stripy bound fretboard:

Getting modded and the frets levelled etc.

2007 Chinese made Vintage (Note the veneer covered body, very uncommon on a bound neck Vintage) Pretty sure this was the last year the Vintage with bound necks were made:

Note the scarf joint much much lower on the neck, away from the headstock:

and the 1989 G-400:

Body shot with the GFS Power Rails installed.

Mystery tuners. They work really well and from what I've seen they look like the stock ones. No serial number sticker on this one.

Note the mid to late 60s neck joint. Very uncommon on Epi SGs

Note the slab no-veneer body here. Also pretty nice deep bevels.

Sloped shoulder open book headstock. Notice the odd sized single action truss rod on this guitar. It's not 3/8" I think it was 7 or 8 mm or so.

Before all the electronics and the pickups were ganked out of it. Also before I bothered cleaning it or anything.

Well there's my three cherry SGs. 1989, 2007, and 2011 models.

That's a great group you have there, but I thought the Vintage G-400s that had the neck binding were made in Korea around 2004/2005.

They were, but Scott just threw a wrench in that certainty. His is different in regards of the veneer, scarf joint (none on the 04/05) and other things I don't remember now.
