This guitar was in a mess when I got it. Very badly mistreated. I worked on the instrument a year a go when I was on lock down. I know it looks a little scratched now but I kind of like that it shows that it has been used and not just sat in the corner or hanging on a wall.This is my Gibson SG 2017 Custom

@Neilsg
I like your SG Special, the stopbar and the bridge look like a Kahler, nice knobs and nice tuner buttons too. A bemol for the TRC. You made a nice job.
May be a tortoise or a cream pickguard should be fine.
I think you did a nice job. I see what you were going for with the matched scratchplate and it does look nice, I think I’d have gone for more of a contrast in colour, but good job.This guitar was in a mess when I got it. Originally the guitar was faded brown with the full specs of a Gibson SG 2017 faded. I really like this guitar especially the bare Knuckles pups. I own several guitars and this is always been my go to. I have not been playing as much as some as you guys but this guitar has inspired me. Looking back I wish I chose gold hardware instead of chrome but that is all.
Sorry for the picture quality I am new to this site and could not figure out how to put better pictures up. The pictures don’t show it but it is a lot more glossy than it shows .
Please can you give your opinion about my SG

It is a blue kill switch![]()
I like your custom SG Special, what is the blue light near the switch ?
The fret zero is a good way to have a very low action.
Hey Papa,
Can’t waitYou see the empty space below? That’s where my modded SG will be whenever I get it. It’s on order.![]()
love those pickguard shapes, especially on the black guitar. Very cool.
