Fellows,

We're all read about wood and pup differences between Epi and Gibson SGs and Les Pauls, but I can't find reliable sources on this:

Is the G400 built smaller or thinner than a 1962 Gibson SG?

And, is the Epi LP Standard smaller or thinner than it's cousin Gibson Lp Stdrd?

Nope, the LP is the exact same size and the G-400 is actually a little thicker.

I've heard it's a millimeter thicker, but it feels more like a centimeter to me. That could have to do with the shallow bevels making it seem thicker though.

Way more than a mm thicker. Certainly far less contoured on the bevels. Epi c shaped neck. Really nice guitars....but my god did they put the poly on thick.
